Location - Andheri , Mumbai
To independently manage the sourcing of chemicals (bulk and specialty) from global suppliers for multiple African markets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely deliveries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing global suppliers to source competitive offers for chemical products.
Responsible for sourcing key chemicals such as Ethanol, Caustic Soda, Polyol, Glycerine, SSA, etc.
Proactively identify and onboard new suppliers to expand product portfolio and improve cost-efficiency.
Coordinate with vendors on delivery schedules, product quality, credit terms, and ongoing improvements.
Collaborate with the sales teams in Mumbai and African regions to respond to inquiries and provide competitive quotations.
Work closely with the logistics team for seamless execution of export orders.
Ensure timely coordination with suppliers for dispatch and shipping of orders.
Monitor and ensure healthy gross margins during order finalization and processing.
Address and resolve product quality complaints in collaboration with suppliers.
Create and maintain material codes and relevant master data in SAP.
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in chemical sourcing, procurement, and documentation.
Preferred sector exposure includes coatings, PU intermediates, personal care, home care, food chemicals, etc.
Working knowledge of international procurement and supplier management.
