Applications:

  • It is widely employed in the manufacturing of formaldehyde, acetic acid and other chemicals.

  • Offers outstanding wetting of resins, dyes and inks so that they mix well and have stability.

  • Used as a fuel or fuel extender in internal combustion engines and in biodiesel formulations.

  • Provides a cleaner burning fuel as compared to gasoline while at the same time increasing its power output.

  • Used in antifreeze and windshield washer fluids.

  • Decreases the freezing point and increases the boiling point of the liquid so that it works properly in both high and low conditions.

  • Applied in the extraction and purification of active pharmaceutical ingredients through solvent extraction.

Packing

Methanol is stored and transported in steel drums, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles or in bulk tanks.
